Beate Korntner
Beate Korntner completed her Master's in singing with Katerina Beranova at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz with distinction in 2015. Previously, her studies had included acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and musicals at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London.
During her training, she had appeared in roles such as Serpina in the opera »La serva padrona« at Wildberg Castle and Grafenegg Castle and played Papagena and the Queen of the Night in »Die Zauberflöte für Kinder« at the Theater an der Rott and in the Brucknerhaus Linz. In 2013, she was engaged at the Theater Phönix in Linz and the Dschungel Wien as Julia in the play »Die Fortpflanzung der Amöben«. At the Bad Leonfelden Musical Summer, she played Zeitel in »Anatevka« and Meg Giry in »Das Phantom der Oper«. Further roles in musicals have included Hattie in »Kiss me, Kate« at the Landestheater Linz, plus Lily in »Annie« and Anne in »La Cage aux Folles« at the Bad Hall City Theatre. Alongside her activity on stage, Beate Korntner also appeared in the Austrian feature film »Das falsche Herz« in 2012.
At the Gärtnerplatztheater she played Anne Egerman in »A Little Night Music«.
