Anna Overbeck
Anna Overbeck comes from Wallmerod/Westerwald and attended the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz in Montabaur, where she first learnt the saxophone before concentrating entirely on singing. Concert tours from her school to China and Brazil gave her an insight into various musical projects. In 2020, she completed her studies at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna in the subject »Musical Entertainment Theatre« with distinction. She has won various prizes, including 1st prize at the National Singing Competition, the Austria Art Award and the MUT Competition of the Gärtnerplatztheater. Previous engagements include performances at the Vienna Musikverein, the Semperoper Dresden, Bühne Baden and the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl. Her first solo programme »Ich sing für die Verrückten« premiered at the Semperoper’s studio stage in 2021. From the 2024/2025 season, she is part of the ensemble at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz.
