Ann Sophie Dürmeyer
Born in London, she moved to New York after graduating from high school. There she completed a two-year acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She also sang in jazz bars in Greenwich Village and wrote her first songs. After her first album, which she released in New York, the singer returned to Germany. There she represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015. Performances as a soloist with the Swing Dance Orchestra followed, with tours through Germany and Israel. As a singer and songwriter, she has played concerts in New York, London and Hamburg and releases her own music. In 2018 she made her musical debut in »Flashdance«. In 2019, she took on the lead role of Indigo in the Cirque du Soleil musical »Paramour«. After the stage stop due to the pandemic, she appeared on television again as a contestant on »The Voice of Germany« and sang her way to the semi-finals. Most recently she played in Switzerland Alex Owens again in »Flashdance« and was on concert tour with Sarah Connor.
