Born in Switzerland, Anja Haeseli attended the Musicals course at the August Everding Bavarian Theatre Academy in Munich, graduating in 2011 with her solo programme »Get Here«. While she was still a student she created the role of Laura in the first performance of »Carmen – Ein deutsches Musical« at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and appeared at the Deutsches Theater in Munich in the ensemble of »Rent« and as Ilse in »Frühlings Erwachen«. In addition, she appeared on stage in various productions in the Prinzregententheater in Munich, including Purcell's »The Fairy Queen« and a »Bernstein Gala« conducted by David Stahl.

Immediately after her studies she was taken on by the Ronacher Theatre in Vienna, where she was among the premiere cast of »Sister Act« and also appeared as Sister Mary Robert. To mark the 25th anniversary of the VBW Orchestra, she also sang in the concert performance of »Das Phantom der Oper«, also in the Ronacher Theatre, and played Margot in the first German-language performance of »Natürlich blond«.

After appearing on stage at the beginning of 2014 as Kat in the first German-language performance of the Off-Broadway musical »Tomorrow Morning« in the Kulturszene Kottingbrunn, she worked as an evening show director and singer at Aldiana in Mühlbach am Hochkönig.
