Angelika Sedlmeier
The Munich actress Angelika Sedlmeier completed her acting education at the Art University in Graz. Engagements followed, among them to the City Stage in Regensburg, Stadttheater Augsburg, Stadttheater Klagenfurt and Staatstheater Schwerin and to Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz where she played in productions as »Der Opernball«, »Im weißen Rössl«, »Pumuckl« and »Priscilla – Queen of the Desert«. Comical roles such as the housemaid Edith in »Geistreiche Komödie« or as Fiakermilli in the operetta »Wiener Blut« are likewise part of her repertory as well as serious character roles. Among other roles, she has played Olga (»Three Sisters«) and Umah (»Ghetto«).
In addition she has played in numerous television series such as »Hubert und Staller«, »Tatort«, »Zwei am großen See«, »München 7« and »Unter Verdacht«. In the cinema films »Anatomie 1«, »Männertag«, »Leberkäsjunkie«, »Wer gräbt den Bestatter ein?« and in the TV film awarded the Bavarian Audience Prize »Willkommen bei den Hartmanns« she also made appearances. From 2018 until 2019 she embodied Hanni in the BR-series »Dahoam is Dahoam«. Since 2019, she plays the part of Butcher Martha in the ARD-series »Racko – ein Hund für alle Fälle«. In addition, Angelika Sedlmeier is a guest lecturer for camera acting and acting at various institutions and teaches speech formation at the opera studio of the Gärtnerplatztheater.
