Andreas Wanasek

A native of Lower Austria who completed his education cum laude at the Conservatory in Vienna in 2009. While still studying, he played in »Les Misérables« at the Graz Opera as well as at Stadttheater Klagenfurt. In subsequent years he made guest appearances at the Graz Opera as Rod in »Singin' in the Rain« as well as Goodman King in »Fame«, where he also had an opportunity to show his skills as a percussionist. At Stadttheater Klagenfurt he appeared on stage in »Die lustige Witwe«, »Jesus Christ Superstar«, »Cinderella«, »Sweeney Todd«, »My Fair Lady« and »West Side Story«. He played at the Vienna Volksoper in »Hello, Dolly!« and portrayed Peter Kraus in »Sehnsucht nach dem Happy End« at the Komödie im Bayerischen Hof in Munich. He made his debut in Bühne Baden in the main role of Sonny Malone in the Austrian premiere of »Xanadu«. After that he appeared in the Kammerspiele in der Josefstadt in the European premiere of »Catch Me If You Can«. Most recently, Andreas Wanasek could be heard at Vienna's Raimund Theater in »Mamma Mia!«.
