Alfonso Fernández
Born in Spain, Alfonso Fernández trained in dance at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona and additionally at the José Limón Dance School in New York. Since then, he has been able to enhance his skills in a wide range of contemporary dance styles by taking part in many different workshops, led by Sandra Marín Garcia, Allison Brown and Allyson Way Wanselius, among others.
From 2012 he appeared regularly in choreographies by the »I.T. Dansa« company in Barcelona, including »Sechs Tänze« (Jirí Kylián), »Cor Perdut« (Nacho Duato), »Naked Thoughts« (Rafael Bonachela) and »Kamuyot and Minus 16« (Ohad Naharin). In addition, he also won first prize in the Certamen Internacional de Danza competition in Barcelona.
He was a member of the ballet of Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz since the start of the 2014/2015 season until 2017/2018.
