Alexandru Aghenie

Alexandru Aghenie was born in Moldavia. He studied in Brașov (Rumania) and at the National Academy of Music in Bucharest.

He has appeared regularly at the Opera Brașov since 2008. Other engagements have taken him to such venues as the Teatro Nuovo in Milan, the Teatro Sociale di Como and the Teatro Fraschini in Pavia. His repertoire includes roles such as Conte di Luna (»Il trovatore«), Valentin (»Faust«), Enrico (»Lucia di Lammermoor«), Giorgio Germont (»La traviata«), Schaunard (»La bohème«), Silvio (»Pagliacci«) and the title role in »Gianni Schicchi«.

Alexandru Aghenie is a prize-winner of the International Singing Competition in Piatra Neamt (Rumania), the Concorso AsLiCo in Como and the International Éva Marton Competition.
