Alexandros Tsilogiannis

Tenor Alexandros Tsilogiannis trained in London at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he took opera courses under the direction of David Jones. He sang, among others. George in the European premiere of Ned Rorem’s »Our Town« as well as roles such as Lysander (Britten’s »A Midsummer Night’s Dream«), Duke of Mantua (»Rigoletto«), Goro (»Madama Butterfly«), Remendado (»Carmen«), Gastone (»La traviata«), Mario Cavaradossi (»Tosca«) and Alfred (»Die Fledermaus«) at houses such as Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli Cremona, Opéra Nomade Paris, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Wexford Festival Opera, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Greek National Opera. Since the 2017 / 2018 season, he has been an ensemble member of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, where his roles have included Lyonel (»Martha«), Baron Kronthal (»Der Wildschütz«), Freddy Eynsford-Hill (»My Fair Lady«), Apollo (»Semele«), Camille Desmoulins (»Dantons Tod«), Cavaradossi, Alfred, Duke of Mantua (»Rigoletto«) as well as Lenski (»Eugene Onegin«), Franz von Tassié in the world premiere of »Schuberts Reise nach Atzenbrugg« and Max (»Jonny spielt auf«).
