Alexandra Reinprecht
Vienna-born soloist Alexandra Reinprecht studied singing and piano in Vienna and Trieste with Cecilia Fusco. While still studying she was frequently able to display her talents in productions at Teatro Verdi di Trieste.
After being first recruited to St Gallen she was subsequently taken on in Graz, Stuttgart and the Vienna Volksoper and from 2006 to 2013 at the Vienna State Opera, where she could be heard in roles like Adele and Rosalinde (»Die Fledermaus«), Sophie (»Werther«), Gilda (»Rigoletto«), Marie (»La fille du Régiment«), Blonde (»Die Entführung aus dem Serail«), Sandrina (»La Finta Giardiniera«), Adina (»L'Elisir d'Amore«), Eurydika (»Orfée aux Enfers«), Pamina (»Die Zauberflöte«), the baroness (»Der Wildschütz«), Ilia (»Idomeneo«), Martha (»Der Evangelimann«), Zerlina (»Don Giovanni«), Musetta (»La Bohème«), Marguerite (»Faust«), Zdenka (»Arabella«), Antonia (»The Tales of Hoffmann«) and in the title roles of »Manon« and »Martha«.
Successful guest tours took her to great opera houses like the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Staatsoper Stuttgart and the Salzburg Landestheater. She also sang at the well-known festivals in Bregenz and Salzburg and at the summer festivals in St Moritz and Reinsberg.
In the course of her career she worked together with artists like Roberto Alagna, Alain Altinoglu, Marco Armiliato, Ivor Bolton, Michel Crider, Bertrand de Billy, Doris Dörrie, Ferruccio Furlanetto, Angela Gheorghiu, Marcello Giodani, Alain Guingal, Philippe Jordan, Peter Konwitschny, Josef E. Köpplinger, Patrick Lange, Zubin Mehta, Ulf Schirmer, Erwin Schrott, Neill Shicoff, Stefan Soltesz, Giuseppe Taddei, Christian Thielemann and Franz Welser-Möst.
In 2008 Alexandra Reinprecht successfully stood in for Anna Netrebko in »Manon« and for Angela Georghiu in »Faust« at the Vienna State Opera.
In subsequent years, she also debuted at the Vienna State Opera as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet) and as Susanna (»Le Nozze di Figaro), as the daughter (»Cardillac«), as Zdenka and as Pamina (»Die Zauberflöte«), as Donna Elvira (»Don Giovanni«), as Rosalinde and as Freya (»Das Rheingold«) and Ortlinde (»Die Walküre«).
Guest appearances and short-term engagements brought her as Susanna to Zurich Opera House, as Manon to Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, as Freya and Gutrune (»Götterdämmerung«) under Marek Janowski to the George Enescu Festival to Budapest and as Elisabetta (»Don Carlo«) to the Opera Festival Gars am Kamp.
With roles such as Sonja in »Der Zarewitsch« (at Munich's Prinzregententheater and at the operetta festival in Mörbisch), Rosalinde at the Vienna State Opera, Komische Oper in Berlin, Aalto Theatre in Essen, in Mörbisch, Tokyo and Helsinki or as Hanna Glawari in a restaging of »Die Lustige Witwe« at the Vienna Volksoper she advanced to being one of the most sought after operetta divas.
At the Gärtnerplatztheater she gave her debut as Fürstin Fedora Palinska in »Die Zirkusprinzessin« and appeared here in »Wiener Blut«, »Hänsel und Gretel« and »Viktoria und ihr Husar«.
