Alessandro Luciano

Alessandro Luciano studied composition, conducting and singing in his home city of Rome. He made his opera début as Ecclitico (»Il mondo della luna«) in Prato. After this, he sang [wo??] the role of the Prince (»Die Liebe zu den drei Orangen«), Don Basilio (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Tamino (»Die Zauberflöte»), Bastien (»Bastien und Bastienne«) and Nemorino (»L’elisir d’amore«).

His first engagements [ich dachte, das vorher waren die ersten …] took him as Beppe (»Pagliacci«) to Lecce and as Don Ramiro (»La Cenerentola«) to Cosenza. Until 2012, he had appeared in such roles as Belfiore (»Il viaggio a Reims«) in Piacenza and in the first performance of »Il cantico dei cantici« under the baton of John Eliot Gardiner in Pisa. In addition, he has sung roles including Almaviva (»Il barbiere di Siviglia«) at the Teatro dell’ Opera in Rome and Montreal, Alfredo (»La traviata«) in Pesaro and Cesena and Romeo (»Romeo et Juliette«) in Pisa and Ravenna.

In 2012, Alessandro Luciano appeared in productions such as »La Cenerentola« in Salzburg, »L’elisir d’amore« in Rimini and »Il barbiere di Siviglia« at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.

In 2012–2014, he sang in performances including Rossini's »Stabat Mater«, as Alfredo in Tallinn, in concert performances of »I due Foscari« in Munich, in »Il barbiere di Siviglia« in Seoul, as Tonio (»La fille du régiment«) in Lisbon, as Ernesto in Tel Aviv, in »L’elisir d’amore« in Cyprus, in Puccini's »Messa di Gloria« in St. Gallen and as Rodrigo in Rossini's »Otello« at the Buxton Festival.
